Rules for Singles

The serve:

  • 1.) The first serve is always from right and each server always has 2 serves. The first serve is therefore from the right and the second from the left.
  • 2.) The serve must always be hit diagonally into the opposite court and the serve must touch the ground once. The ball may touch all lines.
  • 3.) The server must stand with both feet behind the baseline when serving and between the centre and outside line.
  • 4.) The serve must be made from below in front of the body below the hips in an upward motion. The ball is thrown from the hand.
  • 5.) After the first server had served his two If his opponent has served, he gets the right to serve.
  • 6.) The point is played for both players on each serve, and the player serving must always announce the score before serving. The score of the server is always counted first and then the score of the opponent.
  • 7.) A net serve that falls correctly into the opposite court is repeated. If the serve lands directly in the net, the point goes to the opposing player.
  • 8.) The return can be played freely into the opponents court and does not have to touch the ground. The game continues until one player has 22 points.
  • 9.) The players switch sides when one of the players has a score of 11.
  • 10.) Each player can take one time-out of 2 minutes per set.

Rules for Doubles

The serve:

  • 5.) After the first server on the right has made his two serves, his partner on the left receives the next two serves. After the first 4 serves from the first team, the service right changes to the other team.
